Dear Esteemed Members,

As valued members of the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM), we are pleased to invite your firm to participate in the ACEM Salary Survey 2025. This annual initiative is part of our ongoing effort to support the consulting engineering industry by gathering reliable, up-to-date insights on compensation trends, business conditions, and workforce profiles across the sector.

The objective of this year’s survey is to:

  • Benchmark salaries across engineering and site-based roles,
  • Capture trends across different company sizes (based on SME Corp classifications),
  • Understand differences in remuneration, profitability, and operations between firms serving predominantly public sector clients versus those serving the private sector,
  • Include salary trends for senior leadership positions (Directors and C-suites), and
  • Strengthen ACEM's ability to advocate for fair fees, progressive salary scales, and sustainable professional practices.

 

We understand that salary and business data are sensitive. We want to assure you that:

  • All submissions will be kept strictly confidential;
  • The identity of the firm will not be disclosed to the ACEM Council or third parties;
  • Only anonymised, aggregated data will be used in the final published report.

 

Company names are requested solely for verification purposes to ensure data integrity and to confirm that submissions are from legitimate firms or individuals associated with ACEM. They will not be associated with any published data, and will remain accessible only to designated Secretariat staff.

If there is more than one staff for a particular year category, then the median salary for the number of staff having the same years of experience should be put for that category.
